I have to say that the Madigan wimps are pretty good soccer players but in light of the fact that they have a prospective pool of about 1600 people to draw players from, it's not so impressive. They won the post championship last year and have 95% returning starters so that's one more advantage they bring to the table. During the game it was apparent that they are VERY familiar with one another as they all called each other by first names only. The average 2-8 soldier that I observed seemed to underestimate the MAMC wimps. They weren't very tough (MAMC) but they were very accurate and played well as a team. MAMC had numerous lucky breaks coupled with some key players being injured from 2-8. They also backed each other up quite well and it paid off for them. You can bet that the next meeting between these two teams will be punishing to the Madigan pogues.
